Why are we Ide Jewelry?

Why are we Ide Fine Jewelry? It is because Harris Ide started us out as a business cloistered in the shop attached to his house on Hwy 36 west of town. It was amazing how many people found his off the beaten path business. It became so active that Harris’s daughter Judy worked with him nearly full time. Judy gained her diamond certificate and ultimately, in 1988, moved the store into the telephone co building when Harris wanted some peace and quiet. In 2000 we moved again, this time to our current site at 348 N Pine St . We hope we have never forgotten Harris’s philosophy that good pricing and service spread the word regardless of advertising.

Of course what you read here is a sort of advertising, but remaining well known and respected in the modern retail environment is an ongoing challenge. We do hope you will stop in and see us some time. We have kept the casual nature that Harris embodied. People often come in just to talk. Sometimes we seem like the local sounding board.
